The Hope Hound Martingale Collar was made for dogs who've mastered backing out of a standard collar and for owners who want a solution that works without sacrificing style.
How it works - The limited-cinch martingale function responds naturally to your dog's movement. When they pull back or slip sideways, the collar tightens just enough to prevent an escape and keep you in confident control then releases the moment the tension eases. No over-tightening, no discomfort.

- Wide 38mm Construction – Wider than regular collars, making them perfect for medium to large dogs.
- Tough Waterproof Fabric – We use a high quality, luxurious medium/heavy weight waterproof canvas fabric, which is designed by us and printed right here in the UK using eco-friendly water based pigment inks which are inherently UV resistant making them less likely to fade in the sun.
- Polypropylene Webbing – For additional strength our dog collars utilise a strong anti mildew, quick drying webbing ’core’.
- Heavy-Duty Thread – All our collars are reinforced with high quality heavyweight UV resistant thread.
- Top Quality Metal Hardware – For extra safety all collars are made using extra strong metal hardware, in either Stainless Steel or Solid Brass.

One loop evenly disperses tension around the dog’s neck, ensuring the collar can’t be backed out of, which would result in an escape. The collar can also be used instead of a full slip lead or collar, making it kinder on a dog’s neck if fitted correctly. The martingale is widely used in the sighthound community and in rescues, purely because its design meets the needs of the skittish nature of those kinds of dogs. The collar, however, can work on any breed for confidence, control, or both.

The parts to measure are the top to middle of the dog’s neck and just on the ear cartilage of the dog’s head, where it would get stuck if it were too small.
